After graduating from the University of Georgia in 1988, he attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. His internal medicine residency and hematology/oncology training were completed at Wake Forest University/Baptist Medical Center in 1998. Dr. Pierce treats most malignancies and has a special interest in myeloma and lymphoma. He is married, has 3 children, and enjoys playing tennis and deep sea fishing.
